I’m so excited our living room is finally coming together! I'm definitely not done. Still on the hunt for a few vintage pieces to finish it off. Like oil paintings, ceramics… Maybe some linen curtains and few more throw pillows. But for now I thought I would share with you guys the links to everything while they are in stock.
I really try to buy things that are budget friendly. My husband and I are both 26, with a baby on the way, trying to save and fix up the house in southern California. So life is expensive.
But we do value beauty and want the environment of our home to feel beautiful and cozy. So there's always a fine line when it comes to what to spend on items. I found the best way for me is, to maybe splurge on a few most important pieces and then to try to find cute inexpensive alternatives for everything else. Now that pretty much every company sells home stuff, it’s simple to make it work.
Lets start with paint color?! I get asked on the daily what paint color we used for our house. and the answer is, we used a few different ones in different rooms of the house. Something I’ve learned in the last few years is that no paint color will ever look the same in one house to another. Or even the same room! so I’m going to list my 3 favorites and my recommendation would be to bring samples of them into your homes and test out.
Chantilly Lace, Super white, and Simply white all by Benjamin Moore are all BEAUTIFUL!
This couch is what our dreams are made of! It's comfy and so beautiful. We got it in the color Caitlyn Flax, which is an off-white oatmeal linen. It is a slipcover and they say it's not machine washable. But I've talked to a few people who have had it and said that they washed it in the washing machine and it was just fine. I personally have not washed yet, and I might opt for a dry cleaners. But we will see. I'm just happy it has the ability to have the cushion covers zip off! YAY Link here
I love our coffee table, It’s so different from what I’ve been seeing so much.
This is just a plain ol’ Jute rug! I’ve had it for over a year. I do realize it’s too small for this space, but for now I’m just making it work.
Hope you guys liked this and found it helpful. let me know if you would like to see more of these, and if you have any other questions leave them in the comments below!
Love you all,
XOXO-Hannah
